Am I the only one amused by the anti-spam measures in place? Then again maybe I should fear the day that the machines will be able to convincingly lie.

Nah. Can't be much worse than most people i've seen float around.

Till the spam slingers figure out a way to get around this secuirty barrier. IT's like Crypto. You have a perpetual struggle between two different sides that will only win when one has exausted the will to fight further. Incidentilly the struggle escilates, even if only as an unintended side benefit in this case, complexity.

It is my sincere belief that AI will not rise out of any abstract study in intelligence, but instead either as the ultimate spam guard, or ultimate spam bot.

Think about that and make of it what you will. However in the meantime we thank you for keeping the unwanted ads out of our hair.

It's fight we must take, if we want to have usable forums

You only need a law in every country which allows you to "visit" a spammer, problem would be solved quite fast .

Back serious, spam is something which will keep happening and sadly because people are stupid enough to react to it (not only thing but if people would use their brains better spam wouldn't be so common)
