Game prefrences: Windowed mode
Error#1: No Sound Detected on Opening
Error#2: Game entirely crashes when tabbing to another application (While within a current game).

The program '[7384] Hacker Evolution Untold.exe: Native' has exited with code 128 (0x80).



It's possible it's just a simple error of something Server 2003 x64 is missing that Windows XP x64 normally comes with, since they're the same kernel and basic OS. I just figure that's a possibility since I've not seen anyone else with this issue. Otherwise my next guess is that it's related to my primary sound card.

The game is incompatible with Windows Server 2003.
Do you have any other Windows OS?

It should run fine on XP, or 7
2003 server lacks a proper DirectX implementation, which the game requires.

Any details you can give me on that? I'll see what I can hack up with implementing the XP x64 DX into this OS to see if I can create a fix for myself.

As far as using Virtual Machine with Win7 x64, didn't work, but likely due to not having DX9 installed on it.
But the game runs perfect in full screen and windowed, it only crashes when tabbing out.


I know that DX is a bit crappy on Server 2003, but it's had no issues with any DX based games/apps, and I understand you said it doesn't run on Server 2003, but here's a bit more debugging info from MSVS05.

It's the nasty DX implementation.
Unfortunately I only had less than 10 cases using Server 2003, so it wasn't feasible to target it. (The license costs too much to justify developing games for it).
