I am experiencing a bug in the first single-player tutorial mission in which you must steal $1000 from a non-hostile AI then observe the AI's attacks on you. I have stolen the $1000 and let the AI attack me for quite a while, but have been unable to complete the objective. Please advise.

Read the objectives. It CLEARLY states not to spend the first $10000 :)
If you don't spend it, you can complete the second objective.
