That's it. Level 7 (HE) and completely stuck : not enough money. No way to continue without using cheats.

I thought the last game with dead-ends was released in 1993 and the editors were hung by their guts.

You know what ? I really like some challenge. But not when losing means having to play the game all over again.

Wouldn't it be possible to prevent the player to continue if he hasn't enough money for the remaining missions ?

Because the way I see it, I lost at level 4. And the game let me play levels 5, 6 and 7 when I had absolutely no chance of winning anymore. If I screw things, I like to be told right now instead of the game giving me false hopes.

I see level 7 has objectives concerning the money and the trace level. Why couldn't previous levels have the same ? Now I feel completely frustrated and this is not what I have in mind when buying a game.

You can always use a minor cheat to get some extra money, without ruining much of the fun.

Ok, I'll use it, but here's a little constructive criticism after the rage spill : for any future game, could you please arrange for the player to know when he made a mistake so that he/she doesn't continue blindly towards a dead-end ?
